Books are our modern-day mentors. They give us unlimited access to the greatest minds of our generation and generations past. They help us avoid trial and error by giving us the lessons learned from others, and they inspire us to be brave, strong, visionary, caring, and sometimes fearless, which is why it’s so important to carve out time in your day to sit back and plough through some pages.
Since there are so many incredible business books, I’ve compiled a comprehensive new list of business book recommendations for you to read this summer. Reading is one of my passions, and I love nothing more than getting stuck into a good book.
MY CURRENT #1 FAVOURITE
‘Stolen focus – Why you can’t pay attention by Johann Hari’.
All over the world, our ability to pay attention is collapsing. In the US, college students now focus on one task for only 65 seconds, and office workers manage only three minutes on average. New York Times best-selling author Johann Hari went on an epic journey across the world to meet the leading scientists and experts investigating why this is happening to us – and discovered that everything we think we know on this subject is wrong.
‘He that loves reading has everything within his reach’ —William Godwin.
OTHER BUSINESS BOOK FAVOURITES OF MINE.
